The Fringe is back! As with every August, the population of the city will nearly double, with acts from all over the world converging on the biggest arts festival on the planet.
We’ll be hosting live music in the garden on a daily basis, featuring some of the best local singer-songwriters. The Blind Poet will be doing much the same, plus the infamous Rockeoke, and the Counting House, upstairs, will be hosting comedy shows across four rooms (and the all important bar!) until the wee hours on a “pay what you like” basis (to guarantee a seat you can purchase an advance ticket from The Gilded Balloon).
Want to avoid the festival crowds? Pop downstairs to Andrew Usher & Co, which will be an oasis of tranquility, a little acoustic music aside.
Plus, as with the Christmas and Hogmanay period, the local council grant extended licences to pubs and bars, so you’ll have an extra couple of hours to relax with a drink and a show.
