Fringe Festival 2016
The Fringe is back! Our 267 year old building continues to play host to a multitude of acts – live music in the Peartree garden and next door in the Blind Poet, and a huge number of comedy shows in four rooms upstairs in The Counting House. Not in the mood for festival crowds? Andrew Usher & Co, downstairs, will be a den of tranquility for August – a little live music, but otherwise it’s all about the food and, of course, home brewed beer.
The Gilded Balloon are presenting our comedy line-up this year, and you’ve got two options: guarantee a seat by purchasing a ticket via the Gilded Balloon website, or if there’s seats available as the show starts you can simply pop in, enjoy the show, and pay what you want at the end. (You don’t have to pay anything, in fact, but bear in mind that aside from the big names, very few comedians make any real money from the Fringe, so go on, chuck a few quid in if you enjoy yourself!)
